Training on Safety Committee
Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF), in collaboration with ETI Bangladesh, organized another Safety Committee training on 29 October 2025 under the ‘Improving Environmental and Social Conditions in the Savar Tannery Estate, Bangladesh’ project, as part of the SMEP Programme.
Tannery workers and management representatives joined hands to strengthen their knowledge on forming and operating Safety Committees in line with the Bangladesh Labour Law. Through lively discussions, role plays, and quizzes, they explored how teamwork and accountability can make tanneries safer and healthier.
Each factory team concluded the session by designing a Safety Action Plan, outlining practical steps toward long-term workplace safety and well-being.
