Training on Safety Committee

Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) organized training on Safety Committee, in collaboration with ETI Bangladesh, under the ‘Improving Environmental and Social Conditions in the Savar Tannery Estate, Bangladesh’ Project on 25 October 2025, as part of The SMEP Programme.
The participants, comprising tannery workers and management representatives, came together to deepen their understanding of the purpose, functions, and operations of Safety Committees as outlined in the Bangladesh Labour Law.

Engaging activities such as group discussions, role plays, and quizzes helped participants grasp how to make Safety Committees truly effective in promoting safer, healthier workplaces. By the end of the training, each factory group developed a tailored Safety Action Plan, charting concrete steps toward long-term workplace safety and well-being.
