Training on Anti-Harassment

A two-day long Training on Anti-Harassment was organized by The Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) in collaboration with ETI Bangladesh under the project ‘Improving Environmental and Social Conditions in the Savar Tannery Estate, Bangladesh’ on 22–23 October 2025 at BRAC CDM in Savar, as part of The SMEP Programme.

The training brought together tannery factory workers and management representatives to deepen their understanding of Anti-Harassment Committees (AHCs) in line with the Bangladesh Labour Law. Through interactive discussions and group activities, participants explored:

  • Legal foundation for AHC formation
  • Documentation and reporting mechanisms
  • Roles and responsibilities of committee members
  • Real-life case handling and scenario-based learning
  • The importance of a victim-centered approach

By the end of the training, each factory team developed an Action Plan to foster safer, healthier, and more gender-responsive workplaces, marking a step forward toward dignity, equality, and accountability in the tannery sector.
