Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) has conducted Training on Menstrual and Personal Hygiene for women leaders and potential women leaders in the Keraniganj informal RMG sector on 21 February, 2025 at CCD Center, Keraniganj, Dhaka.
Women in the informal RMG sector, especially in Keraniganj, face significant challenges related to menstrual health and personal hygiene due to lack of awareness, stigma, and inadequate workplace facilities.
The training equipped women leaders and potential leaders with essential knowledge and practical skills to ensure better menstrual and personal hygiene for themselves and their peers. Training women leaders and potential leaders in Keraniganj’s informal RMG sector is a step toward gender equity, better health, and stronger workplace rights. When women are empowered with knowledge, they can bring change, demand dignity, and ensure a healthier workforce for all.
A big thanks to all the female leaders of Keraniganj Informal RMG who joined us! Let’s continue working towards dignity, safety, and empowerment for every woman in the workplace
