Workshop on LRC Recommendation on Child Labour with CLEP
On 23 July 2025, Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) organized a workshop in Dhaka under the Child Labour Elimination Platform (CLEP),
Labour Reform Commission’s Recommendations on Child Labour Workshop
A set of recommendations has been submitted to the Labour Reform Commission to eliminate child labour in Bangladesh. To take a step forward in implementing these recommendations, Bangladesh Labour Foundation organized a workshop on National Child Labour Situation, Labour Reform Commission’s Recommendations on Child Labour Elimination, and the Role of Trade Unions.
With support from Mondiaal FNV, the event was held on 21 July 2025 at Banani, Dhaka. Youth and women trade union (TU) leaders from various sectors participated in the event.
The TU leaders focused on:
• Social protection for poor families
• Vocational training facilities
• Strong monitoring mechanisms
