DIFE visiting in Keraniganj Local RMG
The Deputy Inspector General and Labour Inspector from the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) visited the Keraniganj local RMG sector on February 3, 2025, as part of efforts to eliminate child labour.
During the visit, a meeting was held with Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) and trade union leaders, where ongoing initiatives and strategies for eradicating child labour were discussed.
Following this, the local factories and towers was inspected, and another meeting was arranged with factory owners and tower management. They were encouraged to reform the Child Labour Elimination Committee and take proactive measures to ensure a child-labour-free industry in Keraniganj.
The event was technically supported by BLF, reinforcing its commitment to eradicating child labour and advocating for the rights and well-being of vulnerable workers.
