Bangladesh Labour Foundation’s Road Show in Tannery Demands Ratification of ILO C190

Female workers in Bangladesh Tanneries are highly vulnerable due to lack of Occupational Safety & Health, Wage gap in between male and female. Reproductive health is one of the rights for all both men and women where female Tannery workers are highly exposed to hazardous chemicals by working in the tannery. They do not even have any proof of employment.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Bangladesh Labour Foundation and Tannery Workers Union organised a road show for a women friendly workplace in the Bangladesh Tannery in Savar.
