Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) participated in a study dissemination program titled “Addressing Modern Slavery and Child Labour in Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) Sector,” organized by GoodWeave International on 15 July 2025.
This interactive event brought together national and international stakeholders to discuss recent research findings on the scale and root causes of modern slavery and child labour in the RMG sector, with a particular focus on the lower production tiers (Tiers 2–3, including subcontracted units). The event also provided an opportunity for participants to workshop evidence-based recommendations aimed at reducing child labour and improving conditions for workers.
