A Human Chain and Mass Signature Program in Keraniganj & a candlelight ceremony and meeting in Tanney were organized by the Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) as part of the observance of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and Human Rights Day.
Supported by Mondiaal FNV, the event took place on December 10, 2024. These events highlighted the pressing issues of gender-based violence and human rights violations faced by tannery workers and Keraniganj local RMG workers.
collaboration with three local trade unions in Keraniganj , the event highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by workers in Keraniganj’s local garment sector, where GBV and human rights violations persist.
On the other hand, the discussions on Keraniganj emphasized the importance of fostering a safe and equitable workplace for all, aligning with international labour standards.
