The โ€œ๐—–๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—™๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐˜: ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ง๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐——๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ช๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜€โ€ Dissemination Workshop was jointly organized by Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) and Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies (BILS), in collaboration with Mondiaal FNV and WageIndicator Foundation, on 4 October 2026 to share the findings of the Decent Work Due Diligence Check (DWDDC) Survey with employersโ€™ associations from the RMG, Tannery, Leathergoods & Footwear sectors.

The workshop was organized under the Decent Work Due Diligence Bangladesh (DWDDB) Project, with support from the European Union in Bangladesh, bringing together key representatives from employersโ€™ associations and stakeholders to strengthen dialogue on decent work, responsible business conduct, and sustainable industries in Bangladesh.

Strengthening Decent Work and Responsible Business

The workshop focused on sharing evidence from the DWDDC Survey and fostering dialogue on how enterprises can better understand and respond to evolving international regulations, due diligence requirements, and responsible business expectations.

Representatives from major employersโ€™ associations participated in the discussion, including Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BKMEA), Bangladesh Finished Leather, Leather Goods and Footwear Exportersโ€™ Association (BFLLFEA), Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA), Footwear Leathergoods & Accessories Exporters Association (FLAXA), and Bangladesh Employersโ€™ Federation (BEF).

    The discussion reaffirmed the importance of evidence-based dialogue, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and collective action in advancing decent work, responsible business conduct, and sustainable industries in Bangladesh.
