Strengthening Advocacy & Social Dialogue through Worker Priority Poll (WPP)

Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF), in partnership with Mondiaal FNV, WageIndicator Foundation, and Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies (BILS), and with support from the European Union, is implementing the “Decent Work Due Diligence Bangladesh (DWDDB)” project. More than 40 trade union leaders including seniors, women, and youth from trade union federations of IndustryALL Bangladesh Council (IBC), Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (SKOP), and Tannery Workers Union (TWU) attended the session. The goal of the session was to gather insights from trade union leaders on effective implementation of the Worker’s Priority Poll (WPP) in sectors like ready-made garments (RMG), tannery, and leather goods and footwear.

Strengthening Evidence-Based Worker Engagement

Building a common understanding of the WPP and its function in promoting rightsholder participation in the Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) process was the main goal of the session, which also explored useful avenues for trade union involvement.
