International Women’s Day 2026: Safe and Dignified Workplaces for Women
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF), in collaboration with the IBC Women’s Committee, organized a discussion meeting at the National Press Club.
Ensuring Safe and Dignified Workplaces
The discussion emphasized how crucial it is to establish workplaces free from prejudice, fear, and inequity for women. Speakers emphasized that workplace dignity is a fundamental value that needs to be upheld in all contexts.
Key Messages
Ensuring women’s safety, engagement, and empowerment in the workplace requires preventing gender-based violence (GBV).
Eliminating violence and harassment in the workplace requires effective implementation of ILO Convention 190.
To protect women’s rights at work, organizations, legislators, and employers must operate in concert and with accountability.
Building inclusive workplaces that support justice, equality, and respect for all women employees requires teamwork.
