The session brought together tannery factory workers and management representatives to strengthen their understanding of Safety Committees in line with the Bangladesh Labour Law. Participants explored what a Safety Committee is, why it matters, and how to form and operate it effectively.
Through interactive role plays, quizzes, and group activities, participants learned about the roles and responsibilities of committee members and how to conduct productive meetings that lead to real, sustainable safety improvements.
By the end of the day, each factory team developed a Safety Action Plan, outlining practical steps to make their workplaces safer, healthier, and more resilient over the next one to two years.
