Monthly Meeting with Tannery Workers Union EC Committee
The monthly meeting with the Tannery Workers Union EC Committee was organized by the Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) with support from Mondiaal FNV on October 25, 2024, at Hemayetpur, Savar.
Several key initiatives have been outlined for the upcoming month:
A meeting will be arranged between the union committee and a 10-member working group.
Gate meetings and broader programs will be organized to implement the minimum wage.
BLF will conduct study circle sessions in all trade-unionized tanneries.
New and youth leaders will be identified and provided with training.
A meeting will be held with the women’s committee members of the trade union (TU) and core group leaders.
Training on GBV (gender-based violence) and personal hygiene will be provided
